Riabilitazione ortopedica

The orthopaedic rehabilitation department is part of the Orthopaedics and Surgery department and provides rehabilitation activities aimed at adult patients with mio-osteo-articular impairments and acquired modifiable disabilities of various levels. The Working Unit proposes to support and strengthen the patient’s overall self-sufficiency recovery processes, compatibly with the existing impairments, by ‘personalised’ evaluative , diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, global multi professional combined”. The entire organisation and the therapeutic team’s operating modes are committed to ensure support, protection and stimulation of the assisted patients’ functional capabilities.

The rehabilitation team consists of: 

  • Rehabilitation medical specialist (or equivalent)
  • Rehabilitation nurse expert
  • Social health worker
  • Physiotherapist

For specific conditions defined by the rehabilitation specialist the following professional figures may also be involved for evaluation purposes:

  • Social worker
  • Occupational therapist who will take care, if necessary, of defining the most appropriate aids for the hospitalization and for the environments in which the patient will be transferred to at the end of the hospitalisation.

It has a gym called “Mars” which is located on the ground floor with about a 260 square metre area.

Department and location description
It is located on the second floor of the Sol et Salus hospital; from the reception area one must take the elevator or stairs equipped with bilateral handrails. All elevators allow access to patients on stretchers or in wheelchairs.

Each room has two beds and a bathroom equipped for disabled patients and there is also a single room. The department is equipped with air-conditioning in all rooms. Room lockers are provided with a key which the patient keeps. Each room has the possibility of having a TV which can be requested and paid for at the hospital’s bar .

It provides hospitalisation or multidisciplinary day hospital surgical and rehabilitation services.
