NEUROLOGY

Neurology is a medical discipline that studies the pathologies of the central nervous system (brain, cerebellum, encephalic trunk and spinal cord); of the somatic peripheral system (spinal and ganglion nerves, plexus nerve trunks) and of the automatic peripheral nervous system (sympathetic and parasympathetic ganglion, extra-peritoneal and intra-peritoneal plexuses).

The neurological pathologies are classified according to the pathogenetic mechanism and are divided into: cerebrovascular pathologies; infectious and inflammatory pathologies; neoplastic pathologies; degenerative pathologies; traumatic pathologies.
