ECOGRAPHY AND ECOCOLORDOPPLERGRAPHY
In the field of diagnostic imaging the ultrasound or ecotomography is a screening system that uses ultrasound and is based on the principles of echo emission and ultrasound wave transmission. It is a method that can be used for slightly invasive therapeutic procedures.
Echocardiography or echocardiogram is a heart ultrasound. It is a non-invasive diagnostic method that uses ultrasound to study the heart structure and functions. Ultrasounds are sound waves which are not perceptible to the human ear. When they encounter an obstacle they are reflected (that means, they bounce back). As with other types of ultrasound, the technique is based on the ultrasound reflection which specifically using the echocardiogram it is performed on the heart’s single structure.
